PANICKED buyers have left Stroud shops with a shortage of hand sanitiser.

As coronavirus cases within the UK continue to rise, consumers continue to buy high levels of items such as hand sanitiser and toilet roll.

Due to the increasing demand shops have had to ration their stock, limiting the amount people can buy at one time.

The following shops do not have any hand sanitiser in stock:

  • Cooperative Pharmacy - Cashes Green Road, Cainscross: They are not likely to have a delivery this weekend.
  • Poundland - King Street: They are not sure when a delivery will be made, perhaps Saturday.
  • Sainsbury’s - Dudbridge Hill: Awaiting delivery, no date given.
  • Waitrose – London Road: Awaiting confirmed delivery.
  • Tesco – Stratford Road: Not able to say when their next delivery will be.
  • Home Bargains - Merrywalks Centre: Awaiting delivery tomorrow but no guarantee this will include sanitiser.
  • Lloyds Pharmacy - Locking Hill
  • Lloyds Pharmacy - Rowcroft Medical Centre
  • Superdrug - High Street
  • Boots Pharmacy - High Street
  • Aldi - Bath Road, Lightpill - Are working with suppliers to get this product back on the shelves as soon as possible

The total cases in the UK currently stands at 590.
