Children in Yate and Chipping Sodbury are finding ways to spread some cheer as they face isolation following latest Government guidelines.

Rainbows are popping up in peoples windows as an idea on Facebook has gone viral. Public Facebook group 'Chase the Rainbow' was set up and now has over 70,000 members.

The simple concept ensures all age groups can join in. Everyone is welcome to get involved.

The page tells its members:

"Create a rainbow to display in your window so that children can go rainbow spotting whilst out for walks"

Health Scretary, Matt Hancock, said this week:

People should go outside. Yes, walk your pets, but, if you're in household isolation, do go outside but avoid other people"

Government advice states that only children of key workers or those in vulnerable positions should attend school.
