Queues of cars snake out onto main road as fast food lovers rush to buy McDonald's before 7pm closure

The news of Yate's branch of McDonald's no longer serving food either in their restaurant or takeaway from 7pm tonight, has caused traffic chaos as people have rushed to buy their last produce before the closures.

The images on Facebook show traffic building through Yates main High Street with cars partially covering the driveway to and from Yates Ambulance and Fire Station.

Members of the public have posted their feelings of outrage at seeing the amount of people not adhering to the advice explicitly given by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

McDonald's, along with Costa Coffee, Nando's  and Subway have all announced, since Friday, they will be closing their doors.

The decision to close McDonald's was taken to help limit the spread of coronavirus as the Government advised against all non-essential social contact.
