Waitrose in Chipping Sodbury have introduced a new NHS Priority shopping area to support our front-line work.
Following Government guidelines that all cafes must shut, Waitrose innovatively turned theirs into a pop-up shop specifically for those working for the NHS.
NHS workers need to arrive in uniform or be able to present their identification cards to shop for essentials such as toilet roll in the dedicated area.
Waitrose are also opening a separate till in a bid to speed up shopping for the workers.
This service is throughout waitrose' opening hours, including Sunday. Patrons are reminded the first hour of trade set up on is for the Elderly and Vulnerable
Members of the public have welcomed the idea.
