AN ANIMAL charity has helped reunite a cat with its owner – after it had been missing for 10 months.

After going missing from his Carlisle home, Seb the cat has been reunited with its owner, all with the help of a supportive community.

Almost a year ago Seb went missing from his home, leaving his family distraught.

While there had been many sightings of him over the months and photographs taken, none was clear enough to identify him.

Seb was lost, scared and would not allow people near him.

Finally, a photograph was taken to confirm it was Seb, and that was when Julie, a member of Oak Tree Animals’ Charity community team, leapt into action and set a trap for him overnight – with positive results.

The loving cat was soon reunited with his owner and, after being treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and neutered, he is now happily settled back into his old life at home.

Oak Tree’s Julie said: “Seeing Seb happily reunited with his family after such a long time was a very special moment.

“Wherever possible we want to help keep animals and owners together, and although Seb was away for several months, it was clear he was delighted to have been given a helping paw to find his way home.”
