A STONEHOUSE man who was over the drink drive limit when he was stopped by police on the M5 has been banned from driving.

Joseph Chizororo, 24, of Juniper Way, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 16.

Magistrates heard how Chizororo was stopped by police on the M5 northbound near J13, when he was under the influence of alcohol on February 29.

Chizororo was found to have 53 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £470.
