Concessionary bus passes have been extended to allow vulnerable to utilise supermarket allocated hours
With supermarkets beginning to allocate their first hour of trading to elderly and vulnerable shoppers following the coronavirus pandemic, some individuals struggled to use the service due to constraints with public transport.
South Gloucestershire council have now amended the time restrictions, so that passengers using their Diamond Travelcard can now travel at any time, on any day.
The new initiative allowing travel at any time for concessionary travel, ensures that those most in need of the supermarket hours, are able to use them.
Journeys can take place anywhere in South Gloucestershire. and the West of England
The initiative will be reviewed at the beginning of June
