A WOTTON community group set up to help people during the coronavirus pandemic is delivering free essential grocery and toiletries boxes to anyone who needs them.

Shaenna Loughnane, who is co-ordinating the Wotton Area Mutual Aid (WAMA) initiative, said: “The current coronavirus crisis is affecting us all, and some are being harder hit than others.

“Anyone in Wotton and the surrounding villages who is struggling to make ends meet at this difficult time can request a delivery of a free essential grocery and toiletries box.

“We will treat your order confidentially and your details will only be shared with a small group of WAMA box volunteers.”

To order a WAMA box, visit the website at: bit.ly/34EV3DM.

“Once there, you will be asked to fill in a short form with your contact details and also asking if there is anything you specifically need.

“It will ask for your name, number and address as well as how many adults and how many children are in your household.”

The deadline for completing the form to receive a delivery the next day is midday of the day before.

WAMA is being supported by donations from Wotton Lions, The British School, Wotton-under-Edge and Stroud District Council. To make a donation to the provision of the boxes visit: bit.ly/3eRyPmO
