BERKELEY residents can now order their shopping from the town’s Co-op branch and have it delivered courtesy of volunteers.
“Co-op deliveries are up and running,” said Rachel Sleigh, one of the co-ordinators of the Berkeley and Surrounding Area Covid 19 Community Support Group.
“People can just phone through their order, pay over the phone, the Co-op pack it, and we deliver it.”
She added: “Delivering pre ordered shopping from Berkeley Co-op is giving independence to those needing to stay home, and reducing footfall in the shop to reduce everyone’s risk.”
