A CIRENCESTER caterer has partnered up with the Open Kitchen to provide 6,000 meals to those in need.

Following the recent success of the NHS Food 4 Heroes initiative that Cirencester caterers Relish were involved in, the business has once again stepped up to team up with the Open Kitchen.

The Open Kitchen is a national food solution that brings together restaurants and their communities to fund, produce and deliver free meals to those in need.

Relish have pledged to raise over £11,000 to provide 6,000 meals over the next couple of months to those who can’t access a home-cooked dinner during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although they have pledged 6,000 meals in total, they have promised to keep cooking as long as the donations keep coming.

Rob Goves, director at Relish Catering was out delivering freshly cooked meals to staff at Paternoster House in Cirencester on Friday.

He said: “Supporting key workers outside the NHS is equally important.

“We wanted to show our thanks and appreciation to the staff for the work they undertake on a daily basis by donating a selection of wholesome and nutritional dishes to keep them going during their shift."

Relish is calling upon people to dig deep and support its joint initiative with the Open Kitchen.
