Local MP Luke Hall is calling for more local volunteers to join him on South Gloucestershire Council’s weekly volunteer rota.
Luke and his team are currently on the Friday rota, and spend the morning helping people who are shielding and in need.
This includes tasks such as collecting prescriptions and delivering food parcels to local residents.
Luke Hall said:
“South Gloucestershire Council and Southern Brooks have been doing an absolutely fantastic job of ensuring that those residents that are shielding have access to everything they need during this unprecedented time.
"Now that some volunteers are starting to go back to work, the team are looking for some more people who are able to help out.
"If this is something that you would like to be involved in then please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
The volunteer scheme runs seven days a week, and are looking for more people who are able to help out locally during the day.
