Officers are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was grabbed by a man in Chalford earlier this evening (Tuesday).

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said:

"We were called to Three Groves Wood, near to the canal path, in Oakridge shortly after 6pm where it was reported that the girl was jogging in the area, when she was approached by a man who attempted to grab her.

"The girl was able to run away and was not physically injured during the incident.

"The man was described as being white, in his 30s/40s, of a stocky build and had dark stubbly hair.

"He was wearing a grey hoody with black writing, black jogging bottoms and blue rubber gloves."

Anyone who was in the area or witnessed suspicious activity is asked to call 101 quoting incident 450 of 2 June.
