Siddington news by Alison Wagstaff

AT a recent parish council meeting it was reported that Fred Lovett has decided to retire from his grass cutting job around the parish.

Fred has for many years been responsible for cutting verges and other areas of grass that are too small for the Highways contractors.

It was agreed to ask the playing field contractor to carry out grass cutting in the interim until the coronavirus situation is resolved and a permanent arrangement can be set up.

The next meeting of the parish council will be at 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 9.

Physical parish council meetings are not taking place until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak, with the meeting taking the form of a conference telephone call instead.

Details of how members of the public may ‘attend’ meetings are published with the agenda on the parish council website and on the notice board outside the post office.
