The Bristol artist has revealed his latest masterpiece on his Instagram page, an idea for the replacement of the now, submerged, Edward Colston statue.
Banksy shared his idea in a sketch, for the empty space in Bristol, after demonstrators toppled the statue from its plinth and deposited it into the Bristol Harbour, during Sundays Black Lives Matter protests.
The famously secretive artist captioned his post with:
"What should we do with the empty plinth in the middle of Bristol?
"Here's an idea that caters for both those that miss the statue and those who don't.
"We drag him out the water, put him back on the plinth, tie cable round his neck and commission some life size bronze statues of protesters in the act of pulling him down.
"Everyone happy.
"A famous day commemorated."
The post on Instagram has already attracted over a million likes.
Black Lives Matters protests have taken place across the globe in response to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, killed when being arrested by Minneapolis police.
