A TV personality from Yate has been nominated as a Gazette Lockdown Local hero, for his work to give something back to the community whilst the public were in self-isolation.
James Murden, a popular QVC presenter, created and presented a weekly, live gameshow on his Facebook page.
The weekly quiz became very popular, with contestants joining in for virtual rounds of old favourites, such as 'The price is right.'
James said:
"The idea behind the Facebook quizzes was to bring some regularity to these crazy times and I’m glad so many local folks joined me for a good old quiz,
"I hope we can resume to the more traditional pub quiz in the not too distant future”
Due to the popularity of the quiz, James was invited onto Scott Mill's BBC Radio 5 Live show to host a live quiz on the radio.
