A Chipping Sodbury football fan, has scooped the £3000 jackpot on the MyClubLotto.

Andy Wildgoose, 55, bought a MyClubLotto 50/50 lottery ticket in May, the month after Chipping Sodbury Football Club signed up to the lotto scheme.

On top of Andy's £3000 windfall, the football club will receive winnings of £300 as part of the MyClubLotto initiative to support grassroots clubs.

Andy intends to spend his winnings on his first break in over a decade, whilst he has been caring for his elderly mother.

Andy said:

“The impact of Lockdown has been tough for everyone.

"In my case I have been Furloughed from my job in a charity shop, so took the decision to be become sole carer for my mother because we didn’t want the added complications of assistant carers coming in."

"Family and friends have helped bring in food.

"It’s not been easy, but we don’t want my mother to go into a care home, so when I go on my holiday, thanks to the My Club Lotto win, other members will come to look after her.”

An avid football fan, he added:

" I have been a Chipping Sodbury fan for a long time now and I’m looking forward to when we start playing again.

“No-one seems quite how long that will be, though.

"So, I’m fairly sure the holiday I plan to take, thanks to this My Club Lotto win, means I won’t mean I will miss any games.”
