A Thornbury cafe has hit out at customers who refused to give their contact details to be used as part of the NHS Test and Trace scheme.
Two customers at Shelly's Cafe, on St Mary Street, did not provide a phone number when asked.
A post on the cafe's Facebook page stated: "To the elderly couple who refused to give us their phone number (for track and trace) and actually got angry... shame on you."
Pubs, restaurants and cafes have been asked to collect information about every customer.
This includes names, contact numbers, date of the visit and arrival and departure times.
The records will help NHS Test and Trace to reach anyone who may at a later date be found to have potentially been in contact with a positive coronavirus case whilst at a particular venue
However, scheme is voluntary. Neither businesses nor customers are required to collect or provide this information by law.
