A fire broke out at a car garage near Thornbury yesterday evening.
Five fire crews from Thornbury, Patchway, Temple, Yate and Southmead stations attended the incident at Grovesend Garage, just off the A38.
Breathing apparatus and 45mm jets were used to safely put the fire out.
The road was temporarily closed while the incident was dealt with.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 18:16, crews from Thornbury, Patchway, Southmead, Temple and Yate were mobilised to reports of a fire on Gloucester Road in Thornbury.
"On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the roof void of a commercial property.
"The cause is thought to be accidental."
Avon and Somerset Police and Western Power Distribution were also in attendance.
