A PROFESSIONAL photographer is attempting to rebuild his business after it was significantly hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

Steve Winder Photography is a professional photography firm which offers professional images at realistic prices.

Established in November 2015, Steve has steadily expanded his portfolio over the last four-and-a-half years.

Initially taking family portraits, Steve now also captures weddings and is regularly commissioned for other commercial work and requests.

Throughout lockdown, Steve lost almost all of his business as weddings were cancelled or postponed.

“Obviously my business has been impacted massively by the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.

“All of my weddings, parties and photoshoots have either been cancelled or postponed until next year

“It has a been a very difficult time for me and my family.

“ I have made use of the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme after losing 95% of my income due to cancellations and postponements of weddings this spring/summer.

“My main service is wedding photography but I also offer family studio and on-location photoshoots as well as capturing any special occasions.”

To keep busy during lockdown Steve decided to give back to his community and has been offering ‘doorstep’ portraits, capturing images of families at home.

Around 25 doorstep portraits were given away free and they are now available for a reduced price.

Steve is undeterred by recent events and intends to continue his growth,

“I have plans of setting up a studio at home but this has had to be put on hold because of the current situation with social distancing,” he said.

“However, I’ll be back up and running again fully soon and I have all of my wedding scheduled for next year. I am happy to take any requests.”
