Thornbury Rotary Club has helped support several community groups and charities that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Barry Williams, who recently took over as President for Thornbury Rotary, has expressed his appreciation to everyone who has donated to the appeal.
The amount raised to date is £2,735 which has allowed Rotary to award small grants to Kington & District Scrub Hub, Krunch South West, Thornbury Radio, Made a Mark Charity and Thornbury’s Over 60’s Tea Room.
All donations to the appeal, via Virgin Money Giving, are paid into the Thornbury Rotary Trust Fund which is a registered charity and is eligible for Gift Aid. From the Fund, Rotary hands out grants of up to £500 to organisations that request their support, subject to the application being successful.
Any organisation that would like to apply for a grant or anybody wishing to donate can visit Rotary’s website: thornburyrotary.org.
