A MAN was rushed to hospital on Tuesday night after being hit by a car in Bourton-on-the-Water.
The man was hit by a car on Station Road at around 10pm with an eyewitness saying they saw the emergency services tending to the man who was lying in the road.
It is thought a friend or family member was also with the injured man.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 21:48 and attended with two ambulances. One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment."
Gloucestershire police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
A police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called to the between a car and a man on Station Road in Bourton on the Water which happened at around 10pm on July 28.
"The man was taken to Southmead Hospital.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 487 of 28 July."
