A businesswoman from Yate is offering desk spaces at reduced prices, in her Yate office to support workers wishing to return to a 'more normal' workplace environment.

Sam Nelmes, owner of Deskhopper LTD,  is offering a desk space away from home after identifying a new trend emerging of workers wishing to hire office space, to increase their productivity and help with the mental health benefits of socialising in the workplace.

Government guidelines on coronavirus announced in March, saw a huge amount of the population leave normal working environments and instead, work from home. But with restrictions easing and new announcements allowing individuals to return to normal places of work from August, 1, Sam has sought the opportunity to offer clients a better deal, to return to the office.

She said: With this new way of working in mind, I have decided to offer our desk rental at a special offer, book two months and get two months free in the hope of helping anyone who needs to leave their home and get back to a workspace.

"We have allowed for social distancing within the building, and our priority is keeping all of our clients as safe as possible.

"We are fortunate that our office space is within walking distance to the train station. Our office is open 8.30 am – 5.30 pm and all utilities are included.

"Some people have found working at home stressful, they're not comfortable working at a kitchen table and in certain situations, have become quite lonely.

"Some have really missed leaving the house, and the social side of being at the office.

"We have even had a couple who have hired a desk for a week at a time and spit the days between them to take in turns looking after the kids and being away for quiet work time.

"We think our offer can really help to support people with the transition into a new normal working life."

Desk spaces are available at locations in Yate. For more information contact Sam Nelmes 01454 329507 or sam@lilyiris.co.uk
