JOHN Lennon and Beatles fans are in for a treat this Saturday, with a live performance from The John Lennon Tribute UK band taking place at Under the Edge Arts in Wotton under Edge.

The group will be performing their ‘Lennon Retrospective’ show at the newly decorated and refurbished Chipping Hall from 7.30pm.

Through a two-hour, fully-costumed show, the quintet aim to take the audience on a journey through John Lennon’s best loved songs, starting with his solo work and culminating in the early Beatles classics.

The band is fronted by Lennon look-and-sound-alike Gaz Keenan.

Gaz featured in the ITV reality show The Big Audition in October 2018 and won through the auditions the chance of the role of John Lennon in one of the UK’s top Beatles tribute bands.

For various reasons, Gaz declined the offer and, together a band of experienced musicians, put together his own John Lennon tribute act instead.

Louise Hale, chair of Under the Edge Arts, said: “It’s great to see the Chipping Hall begin to be filled once more with voices, music, art, friendship and community.

“This is our first band gig since March and is a great opportunity to see live music from top performers.

“Audience members can be assured that everything at the Chipping Hall is Covid secure."

Tickets cost £16 and are available online at utea.org.uk
