Cam Parish Council’s Neighbourhood Plan and Design Code has been shortlisted by the Royal Town Planning Institute, South West Awards, in the category of ‘Excellence in Plan Making Practice’.
The plan and code were submitted for the award as a joint collaboration between Cam Parish Council and its partner advisers, Place Studio, who worked with the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and the local community over a period of three years to guide them through the rigours of producing this outstanding document.
The South West Awards for Planning Excellence celebrate projects and people that support the creation of exceptional places and improved lives of those who live and work there; highlighting how planning and planners can work to create a safe, healthy and sustainable future.
Overall, seven projects have been shortlisted this year.
Cam’s Neighbourhood Plan can be seen on Cam Parish Council’s website and more information about the awards is on the RTPI SW website.
