PUB landlords in Stroud have been reacting to the latest restrictions to the hospitality industry.
The Government has announced that all pubs, bars and other hospitality venues in England must close at 10pm from Thursday.
Sarah and Jono Armstrong, owners of the Old Neighbourhood in Stroud, said: "We are tired of being blamed for the spikes. We are extremely strict on our Covid rules here.
"On a Friday and Saturday night our main sales are from 9pm to 12am, so not only will we be paying for extra staff for table service, we will be losing sales."
They added: "We understand that this is what has to happen but we do not know how long we can sustain this."
Another pub landlord, who didn't want to be named, said: "It's a crushing blow.
"Life as a publican was difficult before Covid.
"But with these new restrictions, along with the winter months on the way, and the promise of more restrictions to come, I don't know about our chances of survival."
