TO celebrate British Food Fortnight - which runs from September 19 to October 4 - we have put together a list of great places to enjoy delicious cuisine in the Stroud area this weekend.
The fortnight is a celebration of food and the health benefits and pleasures of eating quality, fresh, seasonal and regional produce.
1. BIRCH, Union Street, Stroud
Sunday roast (collection or delivery) Sunday, 11am - 4pm. Eat in available too.
Tuck into roast beef, pork loin with crackling or lemon chicken with roast potatoes, onions and carrots, cauliflower cheese, root vegetable mash, green beans, stuffing and Yorkshire pudding plus gravy of course - yum!

2. Sorrento, Russell Street, Stroud
A firm favourite for Stroudies with a penchant for Italian cuisine.
Open from noon to 3pm and then from 5pm in the evening.

3. Non Solo Pasta, Five Valleys Shopping Centre, King Street, Stroud
Family run business, Non Solo Pasta, opened their Italian street food stall at Stroud's indoor market just over two months ago.
Every dish is freshly homemade and unique with a special creation for every event. Some of the best sellers include arancini, frittatine di pasta, pizza, lasagne, tiramisù and Italian biscotti.

4. The Canteen, Days Mill, Nailsworth
The Canteen in Nailsworth is an independently run, award-winning, fun and quirky cafe which prides itself on using local produce and creating delicious goods for their breakfast, brunch and lunch menus.
Open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday.

5. William's Foodhall, 3 Fountain Street, Nailsworth
This multi-award-winning seafood restaurant, fishmonger, delicatessen and caterer is a renowned favourite located in the heart of Nailsworth.
Alongside a 64-cover new restaurant sits a new fish counter displaying an outstanding range of fresh seafood, delivered daily from Scotland and the South West coastline. The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

6. The Vine Tree Inn, Randwick near Stroud
Set on the side of a hill in the picturesque village of Randwick, the Vine Tree offers a mouth-watering menu.
The pub's lunch menu includes glazed ham, tomato, free range egg and chunky chips (£9.95), beer battered haddock fillet with tartar sauce, minted peas & chunky chips (£11.50) and more.
Included on the evening menu is Stroud ale battered fish of the day with fresh tartar sauce, mushy peas and chunky chips (£11.95), rare breed mangalica pork chop with wild mushroom red wine sauce (£16.95), butter chicken curry, black sesame seed rice rice and poppadoms, mango chutney £13.95) and more.

7. Tomari-Gi, Five Valleys Shopping Centre, King Street, Stroud
Like Non Solo Pasta, Japanese soul food company Tomari-Gi have also opened a stall at Stroud's popular indoor market.
Tomari-Gi has built up a great reputation for its delicious ramen, fried chick-en, gyoza, kimchi and katsu curry and now customers can click and collect their delicious food from the new location in the market.

8. The Crown Inn, High Street, Minchinhampton
The Crown in Minchinhampton offers glorious traditional pub food, including delicious Sunday roasts, with locally reared, prime cuts of meat, incredible Yorkshires and lashings of gravy.

9, The Bell Inn, Bell Lane, Selsley near Stroud
Tuck into dishes like this beautiful plate of roasted chalk stream rainbow trout with tenderstem broccoli and flaked almonds at the Bell Inn at Selsley.
