Police were called to a number of different locations in Stroud last night after reports of people breaching Covid advice.
A post on the Gloucestershire police Twitter account said: "These incidents have been resolved without the need to issue any fines but we would like to remind everyone that the 'rule of six' applies both indoors and outdoors."
Responding to a question about the incident on Twitter, police said:"Officers attended each incident and found those involved to only be going against 'advice' regarding social distancing.
"The rule of six does come under 'law' as per the latest government update, but this was not broken in any of the incidents referenced by this post."
