Pot holes at the the Iron Acton bypass level crossing will have repair work started on them in the near future.

Local MP Luke Hall made Network Rail aware of the deteriorating road surface they confirmed that they has recorded the fault and included it in their maintenance work bank for urgent rectification via a temporary repair.

They have also confirmed that both the track and the crossing at this location is scheduled for renewal over the May Bank holiday period in 2021. In this times a new crossing surface will be installed to resolve the current surface defects.

Luke Hall said “Potholes are extremely dangerous and damaging, to walkers, parents with buggies and drivers.

"I am pleased that Network Rail is repairing these as soon as possible, so that local people can be assured of the safety at the crossing. If anyone is aware of any further pothole damage then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.”
