Avon and Somerset police are appealing for witnesses following an accident on Saturday evening in Yate after a woman was hit by a car.
Police and ambulance crews attended the collision between a white Audi A3 car and a pedestrian on Church Road, Yate, which happened just before 9.15pm on Saturday, October 3.
A woman in her 40s from Yate suffered serious, but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A man in his 20s from Chipping Sodbury was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, drug driving and driving without due care.
He was later released under investigation.
Enquiries into the incident continue.
