Yate Town football club have twenty match day tickets to give away for free to key workers, following generous donations from their supporters during lockdown.

The bluebells set up a crowdfunding page after seeing their income almost completely stop overnight due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the time the club's fundraising plea said: "For every £15 donation we receive, we will be giving away a free match day ticket to a select game next season to a front line worker.

"They have all worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to keep this country going and we are forever grateful."

The club received donations of over £3000 and are now able to 'give something back.'

Yate Town commercial manager Mark Thorne said: "We would like to thank everyone who donated to help the club.

"The local community donated just over £3000 which was a very generous amount, considering the unprecedented times.

"We are now in a position to offer 20 match day tickets for every home game starting on the November 14.

"We look forward to welcoming the heroes to the stadium"

The first home game tickets are available for is Yate Town v Wimborne Town, Saturday, November 14.
