THE NINTH Dursley Walking Festival took place last week amid strict Covid guidelines.
Chris Cherry, the Dursley Welcomes Walkers chairman issued a message of thanks to all walkers and leaders who supported the festival this year.
He added that donations from walkers had been very generous and this has allowed plans for next year’s festival to go ahead.
This will be taking place from October 6 to 10, 2021.
The festival is not quite over yet, as a family walk competition called the Treasure Hunt will be running until October 30.
The walk is approximately 1.5 miles, and involves following a map and answering questions linked to 20 provided photographs.
The Treasure Hunt is available until 12pm on October 30, when a winner will be selected and awarded a prize.
Full details and entry form can be found on: dursleywalkfest.btck.co.uk
A prize will be given to the first correct entry picked out of the hat.
Answer sheets can be posted to Dursley Welcomes Walkers, c/o Jacob’s House, Castle Street, Dursley, GL11 4BS or emailed to: dursleywaw@gmail.com
