A 39-year-old man who received more than £2,000 worth of goods stolen from a Frampton-on-Severn company has been placed under home curfew.

Sean Creed, of Welcomyn, Chalford Hill, pleaded guilty on October 12 to dishonestly handling a Polaris quadbike, a safety helmet, fuel funnel, set of jump leads, and tools to a total value of £2,180 from January 12-15 last year.

The items had all been stolen from haulage firm the Cullimore Group, Cheltenham magistrates were told.

Creed also admitted to being illegally in possession of a .22 air rifle on January 14, 2019. He was barred from possessing the AA Air Arms S410 weapon because of a past criminal conviction for which he had received a seven-year jail term.

The magistrates imposed a community order with a two months 7pm-7am home curfew on Creed.

He was ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £120 fine, £85 costs and an £85 surcharge, making a total of £390. The magistrates allowed him to pay at £10 a fortnight, starting at the end of this month.

The court also ordered that the gun be confiscated.
