A man who assaulted two police officers near Pilning has been jailed.
Gary Low, 33, will serve a 12-week sentence after pleading guilty to several offences at Bristol magistrates' court on October 16.
Low, of Romney Avenue, Lockleaze, was found in charge of a vehicle on Marsh Common Road on May 12 while over the legal drink-drive limit. He had 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit beign 35.
He also accepted charges of resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty, and assaulting two officers.
Low's actions were described as 'deliberate and violent'.
He also pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of wine from Nisa in Locklezxe on August 26.
Low has been banned from driving for a year and 42 days. He was ordered to pay compensation of £64.
