Lets do Lunch in Yate is offering half term lunch packs to families in need.
Jodie Hayward, 34, a student midwife, has been offering packed lunches and food supplies to local vulnerable families since strtring her community group at the beginning of the summer holidays.
Jodie initially self-funded the project and has kept te regular service running with donations from the community and surplus food from local shops.
Jodie set up the service to alleviate some financial pressure for families who rely on free school lunches, although the service is available to anyone that needs help.
She offered half term lunch packs earlier this week for families to use throughout half term.
The packs will contain essential items such as cereal and UHT milk, and also products that would resemble a childs packed lunch.
