A dog has been rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a pond in Thornbury.
Buster got into trouble after falling off stepping stones on Steamside Walk this morning (Thursday). Having followed his two young owners across the stones, he fell off into the water and became stuck in mud and silt at the edge of the pond.
Firefighters from Thornbury were called shortly after 9.20am. They were met by the owners who had been walking with their Gran and were quite distressed. They led the crew to Buster who were able to free him using water rescue equipment.
The girls were then presented with a trauma teddy for their actions.
