Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Gloucester earlier this month.

The body of Jonathan Clapham, aged 38, was found at an address in Kingsholm Road, Gloucester on Thursday 15 October.

It was heard at the opening of an inquest into his death that the provisional cause of death was due to a stab wound to the lower neck.

The death was initially being treated as suspicious and later as unexplained. However new information has now come to light.

The Major Crime Investigation Team is continuing the investigation and officers have searched addresses in Cheltenham.

One person was arrested yesterday (Thursday 29 October) on suspicion of murder, with a second person arrested on conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender. They have been released under investigation.
