A DURSLEY mum has issued a warning after her daughter had an unpleasant experience when walking home last night past Rednock School.

She said: "Just so people are aware, my daughter was walking along by Rednock School park at approximately 9.30pm last night when she was confronted by a man.

"He stopped her in her tracks and got right in her face, making eye contact. He didn't say anything, but stood there for a couple of minutes, then disappeared towards the Rec."

He is described as a white male, dressed all in black, with a black hoodie and mask, in his late 20s, slim and tall.

"She was very shook up and scared about it all," she added.

"She's ok now, but I've told her to go out in a group in future and I've reported it to the police.

"The thing is, with people wearing masks in the street you can't see their faces, so it's very difficult.

"I just want everyone to be aware when they're out, and stay safe."
