Veteran quizzer Mike Lewis has published his second quiz book.

The 75-year-old is classed as clinically vulnerable to Covid-19 and has therefore spent much of this year confined to his Olveston home.

As part of The Inquizitors team, alongside his wife Mo and son Rob, Mike has spent the last 30 years writing and presenting quizzes to as many as 450 people at at time.

But with mass gatherings off the table, Mike has turned to producing quiz books instead.

During the first lockdown he wrote Quiz Encounters of the Trivia Kind with fellow Olveston quizzer Chris Smart.

This time Mike has delved into the world of TV for The Couch Potatoes Galaxy of British TV Quizzes.

"Most of us have spent a great amount of our lives in front of ‘The Box’," said Mike.

"Many excellent programmes have occupied our leisure time and, most certainly, several others have not reached our own expectations."

The near 300 page book covers more than 400 British-made TV programmes of all types, from The Vicar of Dibley to Countryfile.

In addition to the quizzes the book contains facts about the programmes.

The illustrations have been done by artist Andrew Western from Almondsbury.

"It's a real local production," said Mike.

The paperback version is available on Amazon for £7.99, or copies can be collected from Mike's Olveston home for £6.
