We all have much sympathy for John Marjoram in the loss of his loved relative; and can understand how this might affect his normally sensible judgement. We all cherish our freedoms to speak and meet, but we temper this with responsibility. In the face of the worst death rate in Europe we curtail these freedoms in the hope that an effective vaccine will soon be available, lest we spread the virus to others.

Moreover, the meeting at Stratford Park, although labelled as a Freedom Rally, had invited speakers who are openly anti-semitic. Decent people ought to shun such a rally, don’t you think?
