GLOUCESTERSHIRE libraries are open for collection services during covid restrictions.

Despite not being able to enter your local library you can still arrange to borrow books and access the wide range of online services.

Councillor Dave Norman, cabinet member for libraries at Gloucestershire County Council, said: “We know how much people value their local library so we’d like to remind them of the services that are still available while the current restrictions are in place.

"Customers can still collect books if they are without internet access by contacting their local library.

“I’m grateful for the hard work library staff are continuing to do behind the scenes and we are looking forward to them fully reopening again after the lockdown.”

Services include we select you collect, which allows you to pick the type of books or other items you would like.

The staff will then pick items matching your request, or you can reserve items through the online catalogue for collection.

If you do not have internet access you will be able to call the library to request the type or title required which can then be collected.

Some libraries will provide access to their computers for essential use such as printing, however photocopying is not available and there will be restrictions on internet access.

Sessions of up to 50 minutes need to be booked in advance, walk-in access will not be available.
