FINES are on their way to four Stroud drivers who broke the 20mph speed limit in the Whiteshill area this morning.
Stroud PCSOs Gary Lynch and Amy Webb used the force's new hi-tech mobile camera to film 64 drivers, four of whom were found to be speeding.
The top speed recorded was 32mph.
The Trucam mobile speed camera can detect all types of moving vehicles, while recording makes, models and registration plates.
If a vehicle is speeding, fines are automatically sent out in the post, which helps to reduce the time officers spend on admin.
Stroud Police tweeted: "PCSOs Gary & Amy have been in Whiteshill this morn where the limit is 20mph. Our Trucam filmed 64 drivers. Four of these will be hearing from us with either a fine & points on their licence or to be offered speed awareness training (for which they will have to pay)."
PCSOs Gary Lynch and Amy Webb also used the camera in Rodborough Hill on Wednesday morning, when 83 motorists were filmed.
None of the 83 were speeding, and police praised the drivers for obeying the 30mph limit.
