A Bristol man involved in conspiring to bring £300,000 worth of heroin and cocaine to the streets of the South West has been jailed for nine and a half years.

Assane Simpson, 26, and who had been living in the Knowle area of Bristol, was caught after information from a phone linked him to Gloucester drug dealer Aaron James, who was convicted earlier this month.

A man has appeared in court after be was allegedly caught driving the wrong-way down the M4 in the middle of the night.

Robin Kibble, 73, of Lady Mead, Cricklade, is accused of dangerous driving and driving while over the drink drive limit.

A court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of stealing mobile phones worth more than £4,800.

Kyle Brace, 26, of Athelstan Road, Malmesbury, had been due before Swindon Magistrates’ Court to answer charges of theft by an employee and shoplifting.

When he did not show up, District Judge Joanna Dickens issued a warrant for his arrest.
