Armed police were called to an incident in Kent Avenue, Yate last night after reports an individual at the address had access to a weapon.
Officers attended the address after receiving a call regarding a concern for the welfare of an individual at about 5.30pm.
Specialist firearms officers attended due to information that the individual had access to a weapon.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police aid: "On attendance, officers engaged with involved parties and no offences were subsequently recorded."
