May Lane and Hill Road in Dursley are set to benefit from a brand new road surface.
The work will take place over three days between Monday, January 11 and Wednesday, January 13, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, while highways crews replace the surface.
An official diversion route will be in place, which will be signposted and is suitable for all vehicles that would normally use the road.
Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways, said: “We are committed to replacing surfaces like this as part of our £150 million investment in the county’s highways network.
"We know it will be inconvenient but we are doing the work outside of peak hours to help minimise any disruption.”
Cllr Loraine Patrick, county councillor for Dursley, said: “I’m very pleased this essential work to replace the surfaces of these roads is going ahead. I would like to thank local residents and all road users for their patience while it is carried out.”
Social distancing measures will be in place to help ensure highways crews are safe at all times.
