DURSLEY Town Council has issued a warning after residents received fraudulent telephone calls.
Reports indicate that someone impersonating town councillors has been calling to discuss the bank and shop closures in the town.
At no time have the town councillors or staff been calling residents in this manner.
The town council advises anyone who receives a call to end the conversation as soon as possible and not to provide any personal information.
Police have been notified and if you can provide any additional information please call 101.
