A black ice warning has been issued after a car span 180 degrees and ended up in a ditch near Thornbury.
Police fire and ambulance services were all called to the incident after a car lost traction on a patch of black ice.
The driver and passenger escaped unharmed.
A yellow weather warning for ice was in place this morning.
A post by Thornbury's Firefighters on Facebook stated: "Please be careful when out and about, the roads around Thornbury are still very cold with a lots of black ice.
"While the photo doesn’t show it, this was caused by a patch of black ice on a country lane.
"The loss of traction caused the car to spin 180° and come to rest in the ditch.
"We were first on scene followed by colleagues from Avonmouth station and both the Police and Ambulance Service.
"Thankfully the driver and young passenger were ok."
