POLICE arrested a young man on suspicion of carrying a knife in Dursley this afternoon.
Following an incident in the town, police were called and it appears the suspect made off.
In a tweet, officers said the individual then happened to pass in front of the town's police station in Kingshill Road as he tried to escape.
"He was detained for a search, the knife was located and he was arrested," said the tweet.
Not only was this young man foolish enough to be carrying a knife in public but, after an incident in Dursley this pm, his route took him past the front of the Police Station. He was detained for a search, the knife was located and he was arrested.
