A BODY has been found in connection with the search for missing 65-year-old Mike Sparrowhawk.
Mike was last seen on Monday morning near the church in Long Newnton, near Tetbury.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "We're saddened to report that late yesterday night, a body was found in connection with the search for missing 65-year-old Mike Sparrowhawk.
"Colleagues from Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) recovered a body from a wooded area near Long Newnton.
"Mike's next of kin and the coroner have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
"We would like to thank all those who helped in the search, including SARA and local villagers.
"Our thoughts are with all of his family and friends at this tragic time."
