Our readers nominated the top 15 takeaways in Cam and Dursley, Thornbury, Yate and Chipping Sodbury, and we’ve been profiling each of them so you can choose the Gazette Series Best Takeaway 2021 winner.
This week we are showcasing venues in Yate and Chipping Sodbury and next up is the Cupcake Fashion tearooms in the Ridgewood Buildings, Yate.
The mother and daughter team that run the ‘hidden gem’ said they would like to think they were nominated by their loyal customers for their home cooked fresh food.
Owner Karen said “We offer fantastic value for money and great portions. We will adapt the menu on request.
"Nothing is too much trouble for us.”
Their afternoon teas and graze boxes have become a favourite with their customers during lockdown as they make a ‘lovely treat’.
Karen added: “Lockdown has been hard, but we carried on serving the community and they supported us, we love what we do, and we go above and beyond to serve great food and keep a safe, clean environment.
“To win would be amazing, it would be the cherry on the cake.
“We are often called the hidden gem but hopefully not so hidden for much longer.”
