I read in my Sunday paper that David Cameron, already a multi-millionaire, stood to increase his personal wealth by 10s of millions of pounds by lobbying for Greensill Capital – and that Helen Whately, the minister for social care - on a salary of £113,612 – is currently claiming £3,250 per month towards her rent – which alone equates to more than a nurse’s average annual salary and over twice the average salary of a full-time care worker.
Never mind – David Cameron has often assured us that We’re all in this together.
No doubt, if the Tories continue ‘levelling up’, we’ll all soon be as wealthy as Jacob Rees-Mogg - currently worth £150 million.
